Is my balikbayan box forwarder legit?
Search the official DTI-FTEB accreditation list (162 US forwarders, as of 2026-05-31). If a company that takes balikbayan boxes is not on this list under any name, that is a red flag.
How this check works
Philippine law requires sea freight forwarders consolidating balikbayan boxes to be accredited by the DTI Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau, and DTI publishes the list of accredited forwarders and their foreign agents. This page searches that official list: both US agent names and Philippine counterpart companies. Accreditations expire, so a lapsed badge means the listed expiry date has passed on the current list (as of 2026-05-31); the company may have renewed since.
